The Default FuturesMonitor View

After you have already installed the FuturesMonitortm application on your machine (remember, Windows operating systems only), then you can open the FuturesMonitor by clicking on the blue-"FM" desktop icon or by going to your start menu...then go to "Programs" and then go to the FuturesMonitor tab.

Once the application opens you'll see a pop up box that says Futures Monitor or Market Monitor and two forms to input your username and password. Enter your login data and hit "connect"

Once you have logged in, the FuturesMonitor will load with its default screen settings. This should be a blank (gray) window on your right and a white "options" box on the left with a list of Commentators. click here.

You can choose to open the FuturesMonitor Window by clicking the blue "F" button at the top left of the application. You can open the Market (Options) Monitor by clicking the blue "O" button. Or you can open one window with both the MarketMonitor and the FuturesMonitor stream displayed at the same time by clicking the blue "B" button.

Multiple Windows

"How do I make or open multiple windows?"

You can open an individual window for both the FuturesMonitor (for futuers coverage) and the MarketMonitor (options and general market coverage). To do so, merely click on the blue "F" button to open the FuturesMonitor and click on the blue "O" button to open the MarketMonitor.

After you have finished opening your windows you can "tile" them by going to the "Windows" menu across the top left of the application. see image.

PLEASE NOTE!
FuturesMonitor users need to note the following. If you click on a commentators name from the "Options" window on the left (see default image above) it will open an individual window for that commetator.

Vertically Tiled Windows

FuturesMonitor subscribers can open multiple windows in the client application. To view them all at once with a vertical bias, go to the "Windows" menu across the top left of the program and click on the "Tile Vertically" option.

Horizontally Tiled Windows

FuturesMonitor subscribers can open multiple windows in the client application. To view them all at once with a horizontal bias, go to the "Windows" menu across the top left of the program and click on the "Tile Horizontally" option.

Closing a Monitor Window

"How do I close a window in the FuturesMonitor?"

To close a window, one only needs to click on the "x" at the top right of the window you wish to close. see image below:

However, if you have maximized the window or you can't see the "x" to close it, look to the very top right hand corner of the application. It should be found here, just under the "x" to close the entire program. Be sure to choose the appropriate "x" to click or you might close down the entire FuturesMonitor application.

The Monitor's Instant Refresh

After installation, the Monitor program defaults to an "instant refresh" for any open windows. Keep in mind that it is possible to have several minutes (5-20) go by between posts, especially if the market is trading sideways. Once a commentator inputs their post, your Monitor should update automatically.

There may be times when you might want to turn off this "instant refresh". To do so, select the window you want to turn off the refresh for. Next, go to the "Options" menu located next to the "Help" menu. Note! You may not see the "Options" menu tab if you do not have a window open.

After you have selected the window you want to turn off (or on) the "instant refresh" go to the "Options" menu, select "instant refresh" and click "disable". To turn on, click "enable".

Your login/password

Your login and password is unique to you. If you share it, you risk losing your membership to FuturesMonitor.com.

"How do I save my password/login?"

Go to the "Tools" menu at the top left corner of the application. Select "Edit Preferences" and add your username and password to the fields provided.

Changing your font and font size

"How do I change the font type and size?"

Go to the "Tools" menu at the top left corner of the FuturesMonitor. Select the "Edit Preferences" option. The Preferences box will pop up. At the bottom you can select from the pull down menus available your font type and the size of your font. Once you have made your selection, click "OK".

! NOTE ! If you currently have a monitor window open, your new font MAY NOT BE DISPLAYED. Please close your window(s) and reopen them to display the new font face and size.

My First Bill was for less than the monthly subscription price of $79.95.

Subscriptions to the FuturesMonitor run on a monthly cycle. Unless you subscribe on the first of the month, your first bill may be prorated for the time left in the current month before the next billing cycle begins.

On the first of every month your card will then be charged the normal rate of $79.95.
